Burbank Wrestling Club started out as a "satellite" team of the Tri-Cities Mat Rattlers in 2011. The first couple of years, we practiced in Pasco as we built our numbers. By our third year, we grew to a dozen kids and decided to start holding practices in Burbank. The next few years, we doubled our numbers each year; 24 the next year, then  over 40 after that. We now have memberships range from 50-60 kids, ages 5 year up to high school age. When we started, Washington Little Guy Wrestling League was the only wrestling we participated in. We have since added the ORWAY league (Oregon Wrestling for America's Youth) and have been more active in USA Wrestling tournaments through Washington State Wrestling Association (WSWA). Although Folkstyle wrestling is our main focus, some of our wrestlers compete in Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles of wrestling.

Our goal, as a club, is to promote wrestling in the Burbank community, foster a love of the sport, and focus on skills that will help young athletes be successful on and off the mat. We promote good character, sportsmanship, hard work, and being a good teammate. These values are crucial for the success of Burbank wrestling, and provides young athletes with the important skills to be successful in anything they pursue. 

Our Coaches and Board Members are all volunteers who love wrestling and want to help the sport grow in Burbank. We welcome all who want to be a part of the program.
